They understand that it is imperative to match the right candidate to the job and will only send nannies with the relevant experience for interview. They operate a thorough recruitment process, which includes interview, CRB check and in depth reference checks. All clients that employ childcarers through Angels Nannies and Maternity are given a follow up call two weeks after the start date, as are the childcarers themselves. Angels Nannies and Maternity completely understand the pressure upon families and staff working long hours and are therefore open from 8.30 AM to 8.30 PM Mon to Sat.

Occasional and Permanent Nannies

Occasional and Permanent Nannies was established 50 years ago. Angela Hovey, a trained Norland Nanny, has owned and personally run this agency for the passed 20 years.Angela has been careful to select professional and dedicated office staff and very importantly, those with firsthand childcare experience. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience or the necessary qualifications in order to register with the agency. All candidates are interviewed in person and their references, ID and qualifications are thoroughly checked. This is time consuming but it is the only way they can be sure that their clients are offered the best staff available to match their individual needs.
The Maternity Nurse Company

We have a number of Maternity Nurses who are experienced at caring for special needs/ high dependency babies ie: tubefed/oxygen dependant babies. Such nurses enjoy the opportunity to help settle a new baby at home and will help new parents develop confidence in caring for their new addition. Started in April 2006 by Rebecca and Berina both nannies with 17 years experience between them. After having bad experiences with other agencies they wanted to start an agency that offers; support, advice, emergency cover and a babysitting service all at an affordable price. They take the time to listen to both family and nanny with detailed interviews to ascertain the suitability for specific jobs. Bibi and Beck help both sides negotiate terms in employment contracts to avoid any possible problems that may arise. This agencies priority is that all children placed into the care of others to be in a happy, secure, stimulating enviroment. Open Monday-Saturday 9am-8.30pm.

All candidates are personally interviewed and as members of the REC they adhere to recognised standards and follow their check list for Nanny agencies, they are also a registered body with the CRB. All nannies complete an application form with work history for the last 10 years documented, are interviewed face to face & at least two references are taken to cover a minimum of three years work placements & an enhanced CRB. Nannies will also need to have completed a First Aid course. As security & suitability is a priority, Bamboo Childcare encourage all Nannies to complete Ofsted registration. The register gives you the peace of mind that your Nanny is suitably qualified, experienced & checked to care for your children. This great new agency is run by Sarah Parkin, a mother of two. She gained over 5 years experience working within another nanny agency before setting up her own agency. Her philosophy for parents is to listen to your childcare needs and find the best Nanny that will be suitable for you and your family. Kids Deserve the Best will assist you throughout the whole process, from your initial inquiry continuing all the way through to after placement support and follow up. Kids Deserve the Best want you to be happy and confident with the choices you make and choose the right person for the right reasons. All potential Nannies have been interviewed in person by Kids Deserve the Best, a full history of experience taken and an idea of their long term plans. References are checked before being considered for any family. The majority of Nannies will have a recent CRB Check, however if a family want a more up to date check carried out they will be happy to do this for you.
Smileys Childcare Agency West Midlands
Experienced nanny and maternity nurse Juliet Hamilton-Smith set up Smiley's Childcare Agency in 1988 to provide good quality childcare. She now has two other franchises, Lindsey Clode manages this West Midlands branch and there is another based in Essex. Lindsey, a parent of 3 children, has over 20 years experience of working with children aged from 6 weeks to 11 years in a variety of settings. She is qualified to level 4 in Early Years Care as well as being a qualified tutor and assessor in that field. Much of their work comes from repeat business and recommendations, all nannies are interviewed for over an hour and if a nanny would like to take their own child to work they must also attend. Smiley's provide home visits to clients and run a monthly nanny friendship scheme which enables nannies to meet up during working hours. They also offer a babysitting service providing qualified or experienced nannies. All Nannies are Criminal Records Bureau checked and all babysitters carry identification cards with them confirming their personal details and a photograph.

Baby Rock Childcare

Zoe Edwards a NNEB trained nanny with 11 years experience started this agency in 2003. She will try and take on any job, big or small as she understands that not every parent or nanny want to work full time. Offering an 'odd day nanny service' has proved popular with mums who go back to work on a free lance basis. Baby Rock works hard to find the right fusion of parent and nanny, all their staff are Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau checked and referenced checked. With her experience Zoe feels she has a good foundation of knowledge to build upon and can find the right people for each other- thus making nanny and family happy.
