NCMA childminders scoop top Children’s Stars Awards

A registered childminder from Andover and a Childminding Network were rewarded for their excellent childcare provision at the 4Children Children’s Stars Awards on 23 June 2010. The prestigious awards for Childminder of the Year and Childcare Team of Year were won by National Childminding Association (NCMA) members.

Diane Olsen, from Andover, won Childminder of the Year while Doncaster Childminding Network won Childcare Team of the Year at a celebratory evening in London yesterday. The event was hosted by Reeta Chakrabarti honours the “unsung heroes” of childcare and supported by the Department for Education .

“Being able to shout out about the great work registered childminders and childminding networks do, provides them with a real boost. It is very encouraging that members of NCMA are honoured as Children’s Stars. They can take great pride that the work they do every day has been recognised in this way.
